Sherburn Aero Club is one of the countries leading airfields, flying clubs and flight training schools, based in the heart of Yorkshire. We have a small yet dedicated friendly team operating our airfield and its facilities for our pilots, students and visitors.
Flight Instructor
Sherburn Aero club is seeking fun and friendly Flight Instructors with a passion for teaching to join our dedicated and enthusiatic team.
We are currenlty looking for restricted or unrestricted Flight Instructors on a self-employed basis. So, if you`re enthusiastic about aviation and are keen to share your passion, experience and knowledge in one of the most stunning areas of the UK then we would love to hear from you!
Qualifications:
- Instructors must be qualified to teach to at least PPL (A) standard.
- Instructors must hold a current FI rating, SEP rating and appropriate medical for the licence held and are responsbile for maintaining the currency of these ratings.
- Both unrestricted and restricted instructors will be considered for this vacancy.
Main duites and responsibilities:
- Deliver training for the Private Pilot Licence and Light Aircraft Licence.
- Deliver engaging and informative ground school and theoretical knowledge training sessions to complement practical flight training.
- Sherburn Aero club also conducts training for the IR(R), Night Rating and Aerobatic courses.
- SEP currency and differences training in our club training fleet (PA28/C150/C152).
- Instructors will be required to teach in accordance with all aviation regulations and our approved training programme, maintaining accurate training records and promoting our high flight safety standards.
